I checked one of their mid-range monitors that covers both the sRGB and AdobeRGB colorspaces. Then I went and checked another monitor by a much more expensive brand that's renowned for their color accuracy named Eizo. And as someone with a strong fixation on having good color accuracy and reproduction (because of my trade) I can honestly say that 1000:1 contrast ratio is probably gonna be just fine. I went to check out the specs of the LG IPS monitor I have, the specsheet said it has a 1000:1 contrast ratio. It doesn't necessarily say something about the color accuracy. I think the comparison between these two is pretty difficult to make as they both have different hardware.Ĭontrast ratios are measured with the brightest white and the darkest blacks a screen can produce. To answer you on the contrast level (ratio) question.
